KBM CARE Foundation has delivered a targeted relief operation that brings both physical aid and spiritual support to survivors. Teams have distributed prayer mats, Holy Books, clean drinking water, and nutritional supplements to hundreds of affected families, offering hope and stability as the community begins its long road to recovery.
Responding to a rapid assessment of needs, KBM CARE designed a relief package focused on addressing both survival essentials and the spiritual well-being of affected families.
At the heart of the initiative was the delivery of prayer mats and Holy Books to mosques destroyed or heavily damaged by the flooding. Local elders and religious leaders praised the gesture, emphasizing that restoring religious spaces is essential for helping communities regain a sense of hope and normalcy.
The Imam of Jamia Masjid Peer Baba, Maulana Qari Yaseen talking to KBM CARE Lead Assessor Muhammad Amin expressed heartfelt gratitude to KBM Care and its volunteers for their services. He prayed that Allah SWT may further enhance their enthusiasm and accept their efforts.
Maulana Qari Yaseen highlighted that despite previous efforts, the renovation and beautification of Jamia Masjid Peer Baba, a historical mosque, are still pending. He emphasized the immediate need for the library of Darul Uloom Islamia, residence for caretakers, and bedding for them. The KBM also provided essential support material to the Hafiz Qari Irshad Ali of Jamia Masjid Makki of Pir Baba that was badly damaged by the flood.
Furthermore, he pointed out that the mosque’s water system is completely dysfunctional, making it essential to construct a new tube well and ablution facility.
Alongside spiritual support, KBM CARE provided practical, life-saving aid. A month’s supply of clean drinking water was distributed to 100 families, helping to prevent outbreaks of waterborne diseases that often follow natural disasters. For many residents, the delivery meant immediate relief from the daily struggle to secure safe water.
The foundation also prioritized pregnant women and nursing mothers, distributing three months’ worth of nutritional supplements to 100 women. This targeted support is crucial in emergencies, where maternal health often suffers due to a lack of access to essential nutrients and medical care.
“Our mission was simple: to restore hope while addressing urgent needs,” said Muhammad Amin of KBM CARE at the distribution. “We wanted families not only to survive but to feel supported spiritually and emotionally as they recover.”
The relief operation was carried out by KBM CARE’s field teams, who worked alongside local volunteers to ensure the supplies reached the hardest-hit areas. The effort was carefully coordinated to reach families that had not yet received adequate assistance, filling critical gaps in the overall disaster response. The foundation has committed to supporting the reconstruction of mosques and essential infrastructure and plans to conduct follow-up assessments to identify ongoing needs.
