KCCI seeks industrial growth, security improvements in high-level meetings

A delegation of the Kohat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), led by President Rashid Pracha, held meetings with senior government and police officials on Friday to discuss industrial development, investment facilitation and security challenges facing the local business sector.
During a meeting with Secretary Industries, Commerce and Technical Education Muhammad Abid Wazir, the delegation raised several key issues, including the allocation of land for a chamber office, measures to facilitate industrial growth, and enhanced support for the business community in line with directives of the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The delegation, which included Syed Faiz Shah, Fahimullah Khan, Samir Hayat, and Younus Khattak, also highlighted growing security concerns at the Kohat Small Industrial Estate and called for immediate and effective measures to ensure a safe and conducive environment for business activities.
The Secretary Industries assured the delegation that their concerns would be addressed on priority and announced that he would soon visit Kohat to review the issues on the ground.
He said the government was taking practical steps to promote industrial activity and safeguard investment, with special focus on resolving the chamber’s land allocation request and addressing issues in the industrial estate.
In a separate meeting, the delegation met District Police Officer Kohat Shahbaz Elahi to discuss the security situation in the industrial zone.
The DPO assured full cooperation and issued on-the-spot directions to strengthen security arrangements in the area to ensure uninterrupted and safe business operations.
Chairman of the Small Industrial Estate Muheet Khattak and other officials were also present. Both sides agreed to enhance coordination and conduct joint visits to industrial areas to expedite resolution of key issues.
