The Karachi Hockey Association (KHA), in collaboration with the Sports and Youth Affairs Department, Government of Sindh, launched the Winter Hockey Coaching Camp 2024 at the KHA Sports Complex, Gulshan-e-Iqbal.
The camp, which is free of cost, aims to provide young hockey enthusiasts with an opportunity to learn and develop their skills. Over 100 kids (boys and girls) participated since the first day, with half being beginners from different schools and colleges.
The coaching panel consists of experienced coaches, including former Olympians and international players, such as:

Camp Commandant Olympian Waseem Feroz, along with coordinators Gulfaraz Ahmed Khan, Aijaz Uddin, Imtiaz ul Hasan,Dr. S.A. Majid, and Javeed Iqbal, ensured the smooth execution of the camp.
Women’s coordinators Batool Kazim, Samira Naseem, Kashmala Batool, and Tehmina Batool also played a key role in organizing the camp.
The training sessions will continue till 10th December at the same venue. Session 2 will be begun from 20th December to 30th.
This camp is expected to provide a platform for young hockey players to showcase their talent and develop their skills under the guidance of experienced coaches.
Players from all over the city are participating, most of them being beginners who have never played hockey before. The Karachi Hockey Association aims to introduce hockey to everyone and bring out the best talent, which may add to the national team.
Players of all ages are participating in this camp. Parents are also enjoying and encouraging their kids, and many more players are in queue for the next session.
