Khalid Iqbal elected President of ICCI

ISLAMABAD(DNA):The election for office bearers of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the year 2016-17 was held on Tuesday.
Mr. Nasir Khan, Chief Election Commission announced the election results according to which Khalid Iqbal Malik was elected as President, Khalid Malik Senior Vice President and Tahir Ayub Vice President, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry. All the candidates were elected unopposed.
Speaking at the occasion, the newly elected President ICCI Khalid Iqbal Malik assured that he would work hard for resolving the key issues of business community. He said the liaison with market unions and industrial areas would be further strengthened so that issues of trade and industry could be taken up with relevant authorities for redress.
He said he would try to take on board the small and large traders and industrialists on important issues so that a unified stand of business community could be send to the government on key policies.
Khalid Javed, Chairman Founder Group congratulated the newly elected office bearers of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He said their unopposed election reflected the confidence of business community on the performance of Founder Group.
He said all efforts would be made to make ICCI number one chamber of the country so that it could play effective role in promoting the interests of trade and industry.
Atif Ikram Sheikh President, Sheikh Pervez Ahmed Senior Vice President and Sheikh Abdul Waheed Vice President, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry also felicitated the newly elected office bearers of ICCI and assured them of their full cooperation in their efforts aimed at serving the cause of business community.
Founder Group members, former Presidents, Senior Vice Presidents, Vice Presidents and members of ICCI also congratulated the newly elected office bearers and expressed good wishes for them.
