JEHANYAN: Renowned religious scholar Tariq Jameel said Tuesday that Khanewal’s mob-lynching incident was sheer ignorance and injustice, adding that such incidents were completely parallel to Sharia and law. In his video message, the cleric said that many suspects were held by administration but masses’ education was missing direly. “A crackpot committed desecration of our religion and was stoned to death just three kilometers away from our hometown” Tariq Jameel said. He said that a tearful incident had taken place earlier in Sialkot, where a non-Muslim foreigner was lynched by a mob. ONLINE
