Khattak stresses need for practical skills alongside theoretical knowledge

Rehan Gul Khattak, Director General Population Welfare Khyber Pakhtunkhwa paid a detailed visit to Regional Training Institute (RTI) Peshawar on the instructions of Malak Liaquat Ali Khan, Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Population and Dr. Anila Mahfooz Durrani, Secretary Population.
Malik Taj, Principal RTI and Staff received the Director General. The Principal briefed him about the historical significance of the Institute and the ongoing Trainings/Courses in the Institute. The online application and admission system on the Dashboard was displayed to the Director General.
Speaking on the Provincial Government’s agenda of Amar Bil Maroof, the Director General elaborated the Islamic concept of Amar Bil Maroof and instructed the Principal and faculty to ensure high standards of integrity and transparency in the Institute for better service delivery of the general public. The faculty was urged to pay equal attention to the practical training of the trainees besides theoretical knowledge.
The Director General was told that there are a total of 88 trainees enrolled in the Institute in both senior and junior levels.
The Director General visited the Hostel of the Institute and instructed the staff for improving facilities to the trainees.
The Director General appreciated the hard work and dedication of the Principal and faculty and vowed to make personal efforts for further improvement of the Institute.
