Khudai Khedmatgar Organization (KKO), Khyber chapter gave away winter packages to three hundred displaced families of Tirah.
With consent of provincial head of KKO Dr Naveed and regional salaar Malak Farhad Khan, the district Khyber head Haji Fazal Rehman Afridi with support of KKO volunteers distributed winter package to the deserving among 300 families of Internal Displaced People (IDPs) in Tirah Maidan.
The package consisted of clothes, shoes, blankets, mattresses etc.
Speaking on the occasion district salaar of KKO Haji Fazal Rehman said that the organization was always prepared to assist the affectees of natural or manmade disasters.
Keeping in view the dilapidated situation in Tirah, a winter package was dispatched to them on an emergency basis to protect them from the severe cold.
Owing to shortage of food and daily usage in Tirah Valley, he appealed to the philanthropists and the welfare groups to come forward and assist them in that time of need.
Meanwhile KKO workers took part in the relief work of clearing snow and mud from the roads to resume the traffic movement.
