The 13th meeting of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) on Tuesday approved 25 uplift schemes of different sectors with an estimated cost of Rs36.08 billion. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Shakeel Qadir Khan, Additional Chief Secretary P&D Department, through video link. The meeting was attended by members of PDWP and concerned departments.
The forum considered 28 schemes pertaining to water, health, Auqaf, Hajj & minority affairs, elementary & secondary education, higher education, board of revenue, roads, transport and energy & power sectors for the uplift of the province. The forum approved 25 schemes with an estimated cost of Rs. 36079.302 million. Three schemes were deferred due to inadequate designs and returned to the respective department for rectification.
Out of 25 approved schemes, three belong to water sector, eight are of health sector, three are related to Auqaf, Hajj & Minority Affairs sector, one each of elementary & secondary education sector and Board of Revenue, two of Higher Education sector, three of road sector; and two each of energy & power sector and transport sector.
