KP education minister reviews PTC guidelines, funds tracking

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Elementary and Secondary Education Minister Arshad Ayub Khan on Tuesday reviewed guidelines for Parent-Teacher Councils (PTCs) and the tracking of their funds, directing officials to ensure transparency and effective utilisation of resources at the school level.
The minister chaired high-level meetings at the Elementary and Secondary Education Department, where Additional Secretary (R&I) briefed him on the PTC guidelines and their implementation.
Mr Arshad reviewed the guidelines and directed officials to ensure their effective implementation at schools to improve transparency and ensure better utilisation of PTC funds.
A separate presentation was given on the PTC Funds Tracking System. The meetings also reviewed the schools’ special survey, including ACRs, and examination monitoring.
The minister stressed the need for accurate data, timely reporting and strict monitoring to improve governance and educational outcomes.
The meetings were attended by Director ESED Jaffar Mansoor Abbasi, Adviser on Education Mian Saad Uddin, Parliamentary Secretary for Tourism and Archaeology Fateh-ul-Mulk, Additional Secretary Zaheer and senior officials of the department.
Mr Arshad directed the officials concerned to ensure follow-up on the decisions taken at the meetings and submit progress reports accordingly.
