PESHAWAR
The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has nominated Prof. Dr. Sadiq Khattak, Vice Chancellor UET Peshawar for appointment as a Member of the Governing Body of the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), Islamabad. The nomination was duly notified by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa vide Notification No. SO (U-1)HE/2-33/24/Nomination–PEC, in pursuance of the decision taken by the Provincial Cabinet of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in its 42nd meeting held on 15th December 2025.
Through this recommendation, Prof. Dr. Sadiq Khattak will effectively represent and safeguard the interests of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at the federal level, particularly in advocating for increased employment opportunities for young engineers and promoting the engineering profession nationwide. The nomination reflects his distinguished leadership, visionary approach and significant contributions to the engineering profession and institutional governance.
