Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Care Commission (KP HCC) initiated a grand operation against Beauty Parlors, Beauty Salons, Hair Salons, Aesthetic Clinics, Hair Transplant Centers as well as Cosmetic Clinics etc. in Peshawar District. KP Health Care Commission constituted 06 inspection teams consisting of 13 Field Officers from all the zonal offices of the commission in the province to carry out a grand operation. A total of 200 premises (Beauty Parlors, Beauty Salons, Hair Salons, Aesthetic Clinics, Hair Transplant Centers and Cosmetic Clinics etc.) were inspected in District Peshawar during the 03 days campaign (03 – 05 February, 2023). During the campaign, 03 premises were sealed on account of various malpractices, absence of qualified staff, non-registration with KP Health Care Commission as well as provision of unauthorized services. 17 premises were issued Show Cause Notices due to non-compliance with necessary directions by the inspection teams.
