PESHAWAR
The provincial minister for information Barrister Feroze Jamal Shah Kakakhel on Thursday said that law and order would be maintained at any cost and killers of the student will be arrested soon.
The caretaker minister paid a visit to the house of Hasan Tariq, a student of the Edward College Peshawar who was killed by unidentified criminals at the provincial capital yesterday.
He also assured the family members that killers will be brought to justice in any case and police have made significant progress in the case.
On this occasion, SSP Operation Peshawar Kashif Aftab Abbasi and officers of district administration Peshawar and Charsadda were also present.
The provincial caretaker met Mufti Tariq Khan, the father of late Hasan Tariq, and offered his condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the deceased’s recovery.
Barrister Feroze Jamal Shah Kakakhil said that all the resources are being used to bring the criminals to justice and special teams are constantly busy for quick progress in the case.
SSP Operations Kashif Ali Abbasi and the team reviewed all the CCTV footage day and night, visited the scene immediately after the incident, throughout the night.
Meanwhile, the caretaker provincial information minister met the college principal Shujaat Ali Khan and other faculty members.
During the visit, the students of Edward College also met the provincial minister for information. He assured the students that murder of the student was a tragic incident and the killers will be arrested soon.
Talking to the students, he said that the protection of life and property of the citizens is the primary responsibility of the government and neither the caretaker government nor the institution is oblivious to this responsibility.
He urged the students that after such incidents, anti-national elements take advantage of the situation and try to create law and order problems.
The caretaker minister also praised the students of Edward College for showing excellent responsibility. While talking to the media on the occasion of the visit, in response to a question, he said KP government considers law and order as the top priority and steps have been taken to increase the capabilities of the Elite Force, police and CTD
Kakakhil maintained that pragmatic steps have also been initiated by the provincial government to increase the capabilities of the Forensic Science Lab to further improve research on a scientific basis in criminal cases.
