KP-LHW association donates one-day salary

All Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Lady Health Workers Association on Monday held an emergency meeting and expressed complete solidarity with the flood victims and giving them one day’s salary. The meeting, chaired by the General Secretary All Government Employees’ Grand Alliance Wazir Zada, urged the people and government employees to take part in relief and rehabilitation activities for flood-hit people of the province. The government should share the grief of the affected families and deliver relief goods to the homes of the flood affected people, he added.
Rifasiat Qamar, the president of All Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Lady Health Workers Association, said that all possible steps would be taken to facilitate flood-affected people, adding that the association has decided to donate one day’s salary for them.
She urged the provincial government to expedite work on damaged houses, hospitals, schools and mosques for them so that the flood-affected people could resume their normal life.
We appeal to everyone in the country to come forward and announce donations for people suffering due to natural calamity across the country, adding that people living outside the country should play their role in relief assistance.
The other members of the association including Parveen Shabbir, Niaz Parwar, Nasir Bibi, Shafqat, Safia, Chaman Ara, Fahmida, Shaista, Parveen Ajmal, Rukhsana and other a number of lady health workers attended the meeting.
