Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Shafi Jan and Minister for Housing Dr Amjad Ali on Thursday visited the residence of late Shahid Mahmood, a senior and founding member of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) in Kohat, and offered condolences to his bereaved family.
Members of the provincial assembly Dawood Shah and Ali Shah were also present.
The ministers expressed sympathy with the family and prayed for the departed soul.
Mr Jan described Shahid Mahmood as a veteran and founding member of PTI Kohat, saying he had remained a sincere and committed worker of the party and its founding chairman Imran Khan.
He said Mr Mahmood had played an active role in the party and public service and that his services, struggle and sacrifices would be remembered.
“We stand with his family and loved ones in this hour of grief and sorrow, and they will not be left alone,” the minister said.
He prayed for the deceased’s forgiveness and high rank in Jannat-ul-Firdous and for patience and strength for the bereaved family to bear the loss.
