PESHAWAR
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provincial Development Working Party (KP-PDWP) on Tuesday accorded approval to 15 projects worth 18 billion rupees.
According to an official communiqué, the PDWP in its meeting presided over by Additional Chief Secretary Planning and Development Shehab Ali Shah approved projects in Construction and Works (C&W), Education Relief and Sports sectors of the province.
The projects approved in the meeting including the construction of playgrounds and schools and roads in the newly integrated districts, feasibility study for master planning and designing of KP Judicial Academy in Regi Model Town Peshawar, feasibility study and construction of admin blocks and barracks for Watch and Ward Staff in Central Jails, Special Initiative Program for Mardan District, establishment of two Model Schools in South Waziristan Tiarza and Sardar Khan Kot.
In education the projects got the approval from PDWP included high and higher secondary schools in the merged establishment of IT Labs, construction of sports grounds at union council level in KP.
The establishment and improvement of Emergency Rescue Service (Rescue 1122) in Bannu district and Lower Kohistan and Feasibility Study for Construction of District Jail Dir Upper project was also approved.
The meeting was attended by members of PDWP and senior officers of relevant departments.
