Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed on Wednesday held a meeting with a delegation led by National Telecommunication Corporation (NTC) Managing Director Maj Gen (retd) Ali Farhan to discuss the modernisation of the provincial police’s communication infrastructure.
The meeting, held at the Central Police Office in Peshawar, focused on upgrading the police communication network in line with digital requirements and explored areas of mutual cooperation.
Speaking on the occasion, the IGP said aligning the police communication and network systems with modern digital technologies was among the force’s top priorities.
He stressed the need for close collaboration to strengthen the police’s digital infrastructure and ensure the effective use of modern technology to improve policing and public service.
Maj Gen (retd) Farhan appreciated the IGP’s vision and assured him of the NTC’s full support in achieving the digital transformation goals of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police.
The participants reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation between the two organisations to improve public service delivery and enhance security through modern communication systems.
NTC General Manager (Data and IT) Muhammad Sarwar and NTC Director Peshawar Engr Noor Hakim also attended the meeting.
At the end of the meeting, the two sides exchanged commemorative shields.
