A farewell ceremony was held at Malik Saad Shaheed Police Lines on Wednesday to honour SP Faqirabad Resham Jahangir, who has been transferred from Capital City Police Peshawar, and SP Cantonment Abdullah Ehsan, who is leaving to attend a professional training course.
Addressing the ceremony, Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Dr Mian Saeed Ahmed commended both officers for their professional competence, integrity and dedication to duty.
He said Mr Ehsan and Ms Jahangir had performed their responsibilities with professionalism and made valuable contributions to improving the performance of Capital City Police Peshawar.
The ceremony was attended by Chief Traffic Officer Dr Zahidullah, SSP Operations Farhan Khan, SSP Investigation Ayesha Gul, Commandant Campus Mujeeb-ur-Rehman, SP Headquarters Ali Gauhar, SP Security Sajjad Hussain, divisional SPs, SDPOs, DSP Ababeel and other police officers.
Speaking on the occasion, the outgoing officers thanked their colleagues and subordinates for their cooperation and said they would always cherish their time serving with the Peshawar police.
The CCPO presented commemorative shields to Mr Ehsan and Ms Jahangir in recognition of their services.
On the occasion, letters of appreciation were also awarded to Chief Traffic Officer Dr Zahidullah, SSP Operations Farhan Khan, divisional SPs and SDPOs for their performance in maintaining security and traffic management during Muharram-ul-Haram.
