Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) recorded 605 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, taking the province’s coronavirus active cases tally to 7862.
According to the KP health department latest data, the death toll of the province climbed to 4909 after 25 people succumbed to the deadly disease during the last 24 hours. Most deaths occurred in Peshawar followed by Mardan.
Meanwhile, 265 patients recovered from the deadly disease in a day taking total recoveries to 147317. About 11662 Covid-19 tests were conducted in KP in the last 24 hours.
Peshawar, which is the epicentre of the infection since the beginning, diagnosed 171 more patients, Abbottabad 58, Kohat 38, Chitral Lower 53, Bannu 22, Swat 1 8.
The health department is set to conclude its door-to-door Covid-19 vaccination drive-in five districts of the province.
