KP to launch interest-free loan schemes for youth: CM aide

Adviser to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sports and Youth Affairs, Syed Fakhar Jihan has said that the government is launching a major provincial flagship project of “Ehsaas Nawjawan Rozgar Scheme” to help the youth in the province for standing on their own feet and start their own business and entrepreneurship.
He said that under this, interest-free scheme, loans will be provided to youth across the province to establish their own business in every sector.
In a statement issued here stated that the Advisor on Sports chaired a meeting on Wednesday regarding this important project of the provincial government for the welfare of the youth.
Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Matiullah, Director Youth Affairs Dr. Noman Mujahid, Bank of Khyber Head Microfinance Asad Kakakhel and other concerned officials attended the meeting.
Syed Fakhar Jihan said that under this scheme, interest-free loans of one million to one crore will be provided to youth belonging to the province in the form of clusters, which will be given under Bank of Khyber(BoK) and for this purpose, designated branches of the bank will be identified.
In the meeting, the Sports Advisor was given a detailed briefing regarding this project and he was informed about the importance and usefulness of the project in this regard.
It should be noted that the total cost of the said scheme will be 05 billion rupees and five percent specific quota will be allocated for minorities, special persons and young people studying in madrasas under the scheme.
The advisor said that this scheme of the province will consist of interest-free loans through which they can develop their existing business or start a new business for themselves.
He said that the aim of this scheme is to equip the youth with dignified employment according to the vision of founder chairman Imran Khan and this will be a big step towards making the province stand on its own feet as per the vision of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sardar Ali Amin Khan Gandapur.
“It is our government’s commitment to provide decent employment opportunities to the youth because they are our future,” he added.
