PESHAWAR
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Centre of Excellence on Countering Violent Extremism on Friday celebrated the International Peace Day.
Chief Coordinator Officer Dr Ayaz on this occasion said that Pakistan is known for its rich cultural heritage and resilient spirit, joins the global community in celebrating the International Day of Peace on September 21st, adding that this day serves as a reminder of the urgent need for peace, unity, and harmony in our world.
Under one roof “Building Peace Together,” Pakistan reaffirms its commitment to promoting peace, tolerance, and understanding among its diverse communities. The nation recognizes the importance of dialogue, cooperation, and diplomacy as essential tools for resolving conflicts and fostering a peaceful society.
KPCVE celebration includes a series of events and initiatives across the province.
KPCVE officials, Law Enforcement Agency Departments (LEAs) and Community participate in peace walks to symbolize their commitment to a violence-free and harmonious society.
KPCVE emphasizes the significance of religious tolerance by hosting interfaith dialogues that bring together leaders and followers of various faiths to promote mutual respect and coexistence.
Educational institutions will engage in activities to raise awareness about the importance of peace and conflict resolution among the youth, who are the future leaders of the nation.
Dr. Ayaz emphasized the need for global solidarity in the face of challenges such as poverty and the ongoing situation of Security in the country.
He stated, “Pakistan stands ready to collaborate with the international community in building a peaceful and prosperous world for all.”
As Pakistan celebrates the International Day of Peace, the nation encourages individuals, communities, and nations around the world to work together for a more peaceful and harmonious future.
