KP’s health minister inaugurates general hospital in Peshawar

The provincial minister for health and finance Taimur Saleem Jhagra on Thursday inaugurated a government general hospital in Nishtarabad Peshawar.
Minister for higher education Kamran Bangash was also present on the occasion.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Taimur Saleem Jhagra said that the hospital is equipped with cutting-edge technology and will be a major boost to provide health facilities to the residents of Peshawar.
He said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has introduced revolutionary measures in the health sector and all available resources would be utilized to provide best medical facilities to its people in all major cities of the province.
Minister for health claimed that after reforms, the hospitals of the province have shown outstanding improvements.
He said that a negative propaganda has been launched against the government health card program, adding that people should not give any importance to it as the government was committed to bringing more facilities in the sector.
Provincial Minister Taimur Saleem Jhagra further said that efforts are being made to overcome the deficiencies in the health system, which has reduced the pressure of patients on the regional hospitals because the provision of health services at the tehsil level has been improved.
In his address to the participants of the event, Kamran Bangash said that all the facilities including health, education, communication, drainage, clean drinking water are being provided in all the constituencies of Peshawar including PK 77.
He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mehmood Khan, the health system has been brought to a new level.
Provincial Minister for Higher Education Kamran Bangash said that the PTI government has fulfilled 90 percent of its promises with its voters, adding that even opposition was appreciating the health facilities of the incumbent government.
Mr Kamran said that the people of the province would again elect the representatives of PTI on the basis of its performance and reforms introduced in different sectors.
