At least seven persons died and one injured due to landslides in Kohat district
The incident occurred at Qamar Kallay in Tehsil Gambat where l seven people lost their lives and one person injured after a landslide fell on them.
According to District Emergency Officer Kohat, Noor-ul-Amin Khattak, seven individuals were buried under the debris when the landslide struck the area. Upon receiving the information, Rescue 1122 teams immediately reached the site.
Rescue 1122 carried out a search and rescue operation and recovered all the individuals.
More than 30 rescue 1122 personnel, three ambulances, and a disaster vehicle took part in the operation. The operation was personally supervised by District Emergency Officer Kohat, Noor-ul-Amin Khattak.
The deceased have been identified as Talat son of Wakeel, Fayaz son of Riaz, Abid son of Parvez, Daniyal son of Zafar Ali, Sabir son of Iqbal, Faraz son of Farzand Ali, and Faizan son of Haji Rehman. The injured person is Riaz Ali Khan, also known as Goad, son of Aitbaar Khan.
