CDF Munir vows to defeat foreign-backed proxies’ nefarious designs in Balochistan

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, on Thursday reaffirmed Pakistan’s determination to eliminate terrorism, stating that the consistent efforts of the security forces and law enforcement agencies, backed by the unwavering support of the people, would bring lasting peace to Balochistan.
He expressed these views while interacting with participants of the 20th National Workshop Balochistan at the General Headquarters (GHQ), Rawalpindi.
Addressing the participants, the Field Marshal said targeted operations against Fitna al Khawarij and Fitna al Hindustan would continue with full resolve until terrorism and its facilitators were completely eliminated from Pakistan. He reiterated the country’s firm resolve to dismantle terrorist infrastructure wherever it posed a threat to Pakistan and its people.
He observed that foreign-sponsored proxies had persistently attempted to fuel violence, undermine stability and disrupt peace in Balochistan. However, he said, their designs would be defeated through the firm response of the Armed Forces, supported by the resilience and unity of the Pakistani nation.
Describing Balochistan as the pride of Pakistan, the Field Marshal said the province was blessed with abundant natural resources and resilient, patriotic people who represented its greatest strength.
He highlighted that ongoing development initiatives undertaken by the Federal and Provincial governments were aimed at transforming Balochistan’s socio-economic landscape through an inclusive and people-centric approach.
The Army Chief also appreciated the constructive role of civil society, academia, media and youth in strengthening national integration and contributing to the province’s long-term peace and prosperity.
He emphasized the importance of national unity and perseverance in shaping Pakistan’s future. The session concluded with an extensive interaction, during which participants reaffirmed their commitment to Pakistan’s stability, progress and sovereignty.
