Provincial minister for higher education has lauded the approval of KP cabinet for inducting over 3000 new lecturers in government-run colleges across the province. In a video statement, Afridi stated that the move will strengthen higher education and create job opportunities for educated youth of the province, adding that recruitment of 3,086 new lecturers will be held under the higher education department. He termed that initiative aligned with PTI Founding Chairman Imran Khan’s vision of empowering youth through education and employment.
Meena Khan Afridi emphasized that the recruitment will be transparent and merit-based, helping resolve the long-standing shortage of teaching staff in colleges. DLP Report
Afridi also announced that Associate Degree holders were now eligible to apply for jobs requiring a BA degree, further expanding opportunities for graduates across the province.
He added that the government was increasing financial grants to universities to ensure academic focus and autonomy.
The steps, Afridi said, reflect the provincial government’s commitment to education reform and youth empowerment.
