Lahore High Court (LHC) has approved bail plea of underage accused Mohammad Navid in kidnapping of girl case.
The court issued written order regarding approval of the bail plea of accused, a first year student .
The court has approved bail plea being the accused under age.
Justice Tariq Salim Sheikh has issued 16-page decision regarding bail of the accused Navid.
It has been told in the written decision that the court has approved bail of the accused Muhammad Navid against the surety bonds worth Rs 2 lac.
It was written in the written decision that as per law the accused who is under 16 years old is treated under Juvenile Justice System Act.
According to NADRA birth certificate the age of the accused is less than 16 years. While the case of the accused falls in the jurisdiction of Juvenile Justice system.
It was further told in the decision the case of under age accused is different from adult accused. The restoration of under age accused is aimed at stopping their minds from returning to the crimes again.
Multan police registered kidnapping case against the accused in 2025.
The accused who is first year student was charged with assisting in kidnapping of a 13 years old girl.
The court wrote in the written decision that the accused gave statement to the police that the girl knocked his door in the darkness of night. According to the accused I inquired who is she.
According to the accused the girl told him some unknown persons have left her here. No one knows her in this area.
Moreover the girl told him she has to spend night here. she is cousin of Rana Altaf.
According to the accused he arranged her meeting with grand mother. On next morning he made telephonic call to Altaf.
The accused told the court Rana Altaf and a woman with him came to his home and took the girl along with them.
