LAHORE
Lahore High Court (LHC) has been moved against heavy traffic fines and tax on vehicles in Punjab.
A miscellaneous petition has been filed in LHC in this regard.
The petition has been filed by Jamila Fatima through Muhammad Azhar Siddique advocate.
The petition said heavy fines are being imposed by traffic police on the citizens of Punjab which are not correct constitutionally.
It was further said in the petition heavy traffic challan are in clash with the constitution. The rights of citizens are being affected.
The court has been requested to seek details of traffic fines and tax of last five years from Punjab government .
It has also been requested court should declare steps for heavy traffic challan illegal.
