LAHORE: A constitutional petition has been filed in Lahore High Court (LHC) seeking imposition of ban on social media app Tik Tok. The petitioner has taken the plea it is incumbent on every citizen to be loyal to the citizen under article 5 of the constitution. Immoral material is being uploaded on Tik Tok persistently. Tik Tok removed from its site 11700000 videos uploaded by Pakistanis in the first quarterly of the current year for violating community guidelines. Government claims it has no hand in the removal of these videos and Tik Tok has worked out community guidelines as per Pakistani laws. Videos are removed on the violation of these guidelines. However according to experts it is difficult to remove such videos without the assistance of Pakistan government. Tik Tok removed videos in large number before they reached the viewers. Online
