LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) has sought reply from Deputy Commissioner (DC) Faisalabad for not allowing JI to hold public meeting. Petition filed by JI leader Mehboob ul Zaman came up for hearing before single bench of LHC led by Justice Ali Baqar Najafi here Tueday. The petitioner took the plea that JI wrote letter to DC Faisalabad on January 23 in connection with public meeting. When we submitted application we ensured that no other party has sought permission for public meeting on February 2. The petitioner said DC Faisalabad referred the ma ter to CPO office. We met DC Faisalabad on January 24 and he did not talk about public meeting of any other political party. It was said in the petition that now permission has been given to PML-N for public meeting on February 2. The application from PML-N for public meeting is shown to have been given on January 20.
