ISLAMABAD: Renowned Library Professional Ikram-ul-Haq, Library Officer of King Saud Bin Abdulaziz University of Health Sciences, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, held an important meeting with Sheikh Muhammad Arshad, DG, Department of Libraries, Islamabad. Mr. Ikram Ul Haq has been serving as a Librarian/ Lecturer in KSA for the last ten years. Earlier, he served as Librarian in Armed Forces Post Graduate Medical Institute Rawalpindi for 20 years. He contributed more than 100 Research Papers for Library Professionals and wrote four books. In the meeting, discussions were held on running Pakistan’s public libraries under a robotic system in accordance with modern requirements and other important professional matters. Comparing the public libraries of Gulf countries and Pakistan, Library Officer Ikram-ul-Haq said that, unfortunately, public libraries are not given priority in pakistan. To make the public aware, it is essential to build more libraries in public places and parks on modern standards on the basis of educational emergencies. DNA
