In a successful operation against illegal liquor production, the Peshawar Police sealed a home-based liquor factory in Gulistan Colony and arrested two accused involved in the illicit trade.
Acting on a tip-off received by SP Cantt Division Aitzaz Arif, SHO Gulberg Police Station Taimur Saleem, under the supervision of DSP Cantt Circle Arbab Naeem Haider, led a police team to raid a rented house near the cemetery in Gulistan Colony. During the operation, 100 bottles of locally prepared liquor were recovered, and two suspects—Usman Khan, son of Salman Khan, and Naeem Khan, son of Akhtar Khan, residents of Nothia—were taken into custody.
According to police sources, the arrested individuals confessed to producing liquor at home and distributing it to various areas of Peshawar, including the Cantt Circle, directly to customers’ doorsteps. The accused had rented the house specifically for this illegal activity.
During interrogation, the suspects also revealed information about other members of their network. Police have formed a special team to apprehend the remaining individuals involved. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
