Lobbying end for attractive post of DC Kurram

The lobbying among some of the PMS and PAS officers to occupy the post of Deputy Commissioner Kurram District, one of the attractive districts after Khyber, came to end as the provincial government on Wednesday issued new posting and transfer orders.
The officers who were expected to be made DC Kurram failed to succeed and the provincial government picked the additional secretary irrigation, a grade 18 officer, for the post of DC Kurram.
It is pertinent to mention here that the provincial government has issued orders of posting and transfer of nine officers, including Deputy Commissioner Kurram and Deputy Commissioner South Waziristan.
According to the notification issued by the establishment department, the provincial government transferred the Additional Secretary Irrigation Wasil Khan and posted as Deputy Commissioner Kurram District while Additional Secretary Home and Tribal Affairs Amjad Meraj has been posted as DC South Waziristan.
DC Kurram Afaq Wazir and DC South Waziristan Khalid Iqbal have been asked to report to the establishment department.
According to the notification, Kabir Afridi waiting for further posting in the establishment department has been posted as additional secretary Home and Tribal Affairs.
Ali Khan posted as Additional Secretary Labor Hassan Abid has been posted as Additional Secretary Finance and Shoaib Khan has been posted as Additional Secretary Sports.
Additional Secretary Finance Neelam Sultana Khattak has also been directed to report to the establishment department.
