Local govt minister visits PDA, reviewed various sections


PESHAWAR: The provincial minister for local government Arshad Ayub Khan on Thursday visited Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) head office in Hayatabad. Arshad Ayub also reviewed various sections of the authority and inspected the presence of the staff. The Director General of PDA briefed the provincial minister about the plan to build a high-rise multi-purpose complex on 50 kanals of land. He said that so far seven to eight businessmen have shown their interest in the project and work on it in progress. He said that a multi-purpose building will be built here where national and international brands will be brought. The provincial minister directed PDA officials to take pragmatic steps for the provision of better co-curricular facilities to the youth of the area, adding that arrangements should be made for an indoor shooting club and a horse riding facilities in the club. He said that PDA should initiate these projects under the public-private partnership mechanism to increase the government revenue and facilitate people. DLP Report
