Policeon Sunday claimed to have arrested a man for allegedly looting over Rs10million from the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) in Zaida area after murderingthe guard of the bank.
Accordingto the bank manager, unidentified robbers looted more than Rs10 million andkilled the guard on duty.
Followingthe incident, the District Police Officer (DPO) formed a team under the leadershipof DSP Farooq Zaman to arrest the criminals involved in the crime.
Teamconsisting of SHO Zaida Nazim Khan and others launched an investigation and gainedaccess to the accused.
The arrestedperson has been identified as Makhdoom resident of PanjPir area.Duringthe preliminary investigation, the arrested person confessed being involved inlooting the bank and killing the guard on duty.
Policehave recovered the stolen money, DVR and murder weapon from the arrested personand launched further investigation into the case.
