The City Traffic Police under the supervision of Chief Traffic Officer Abbas Majeed Marwar have launched a massive campaign against black glasses, non-user of seat belts and helmets, besides warning against violating the traffic rules. According to a statement issued from the office of traffic police chief, the City Traffic Police in the last one week took actions against 14532 people for traffic rules violations in Peshawar. Chief Traffic Officer Abbas Majeed Khan Marwat has said that all available resources would be utilized to ensure implementation of traffic rules and regulations, adding that no leniency would be held with those motorists who violate traffic rules and create problems for smooth traffic.
He said that citizens should ensure the implementation of traffic rules and ensure the use of helmets and seat belts while traveling, including avoiding speeding. Abbas Majeed directed the traffic police to expedite their operations against traffic violations in the provincial capital and maintain smooth traffic on all important routes.
