North Karachi Association of Trade & Industry (NKATI)and the Traffic Police have agreed to take steps in consultation to deal with the problem of traffic jams on the entrances and exits of the industrial area and to eliminate encroachments.
SSP Traffic Central Syed Saghir Hussain reviewed the traffic situation in the area during his visit to NKATI.
On the occasion, NKATI President Faisal Moiz Khan, SVP Shabbir Ismail, VP Naeem Haider, Sadiq Mohammad, CEO, North Karachi Industrial Development & Management Company (NKIDMC), Nadeem Farooqi, DSP North, Nazir Rajpar, SO New Karachi, Ghulam Sarwar, SO Gulberg and NKATI members were also present in large numbers.
Highlighting the problem of traffic jams, Faisal Moiz Khan, pointed out that traffic jams had become commonplace on the roads connecting the entrances and exits of the North Karachi Industrial Area, especially at Godhra, Shafiq mor, stop number seven, there was traffic jam during busy hours. The main reason for this is the of Chingchi Rickshaw and the encroachments.
NKATI president requested SS Traffic to provide traffic personnel to NKATI Crime Monitoring Cell like police personnel, so that industrialists can solve the long standing problem of traffic jam.
Syed Saghir Hussain, SSP Traffic, assured the industrialists of North Karachi that a contingent of traffic personnel would be provided to NKATI to deal the traffic jam issues. Who will help solve the problem of traffic jams in consultation with NKATI.
SSP also assured all possible cooperation in eliminating encroachments and said that encroachments on traffic flow should be removed and the implementation of traffic signals will also be strictly enforced.
