Former federal minister and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader, Nawabzada Khwaja Muhammad Khan Hoti strongly condemned the attack on the President of People Youth Rustam and demanded strict action against those involved in the shooting and providing justice to the victim’s family.
Addressing a crowded news conference along with the victim’s family at the Mardan Press Club he said that in 2013 Shah Khalid uncle of Ibrahim Khan who is president of people youth Rustam gave his house located at Rustam bazaar on rent to Mohammad Iqbal.
He added that Muhammad Iqbal paid rent till 2020. He added that Shah Khalid also registered his house as a tenant at the concerned police station. He argued that later on after 2020 the tenant stopped paying the rent of the house and with the alleged convenience of Azam Khan brother of senator Dalawar Khan allegedly occupied the house.
He added that on last Friday Muhammad Iqbal along with his son allegedly started firing on Ibrahim Khan. He added that Ibrahim Khan got injured and was admitted to hospital.
He added that later on local police instead of arresting the accused allegedly raided the house of injured Muhammad Ibrahim and threatened the female. He demanded that judicial inquiry should be conducted in the incident and hard punishment should be given to those police officers involved in this incident.
He added that if no one takes action in this connection and cannot provide justice to the affected family then he will be compelled to stage a protest rally at Rustam and also in front of Governor house Peshawar.
