Drugist and medicines Association of Landi Kotal disapproved privatization of the district headquarter (DHQ)hospital and said it will leave them jobless.
Addressing to a press conference on Saturday here in the local press club chief of the Association Haji Ahmad, head of Khudai Khedmatgar Organization, Khyber Fazal Rehman Afridi, and others said that Instead of privatization, the government should improve the efficiency of the hospital so that it could deliver in batter way.
Privatizing the DHQ, Hospital was equellent to deprive the poor tribal of the basic and cheaper health facility which was regrettable, they opined.
They stated that grade-A status had been granted to the health center but unfortunately no facilities equal to its status were provided to it.
Privatization was the pretext to hide the poor performance of health officials, they blamed.
They urged the dwellers of the area to join hands with them to safeguard their interests and warned that they will not give up their agitation till the revision of the decision.
Earlier, the health officials staged a protest demo in front of the Medical Superintendent’s office DHQ hospital, Landi Kotal against the privatization of the health center.
