SWAT: Commissioner Malakand Division Abid Wazir here Tuesday chaired a meeting to discuss precautionary measures needed to avoid potential damages during winter rains and snowfall. The meeting was attended by all Additional Deputy Commissioners (Relief & Human Rights) of Malakand Division, Reporting Officers and PDMA Malakand Division. The Additional Deputy Commissioners gave detailed briefings on the preparations in their respective districts in view of winter rains and snowfall. Commissioner directed district administrations to hold meetings with relevant departments and stakeholders to adopt a comprehensive strategy to prevent damages due to potential snowfall and rains. He also directed monitoring to minimize damages and protect properties during coming winter. He directed all district administrations to ensure the availability of medicines in hospitals and availability of heavy machinery for snow clearance from roads in case of snowfall. APP
