Meeting for rules of business of Hindu marriage law

The Pakistan Council of World Relations on Wednesday held an important meeting to review progress on Hindu Marriage Bill’s rules of business and implementation of two per cent quota for minorities in higher educational institutions of the province.
The meeting was attended by the members of the forum including Qari Roohul Madani, representing Muslim community, Jozaf from Christian community, Haroon Sir Dayal from Hindu community, Hafiz Ab Dal Ghafoor, Pandit Darshan Lal Parvez, Iqbal Bashif Falak Sher Saima Mahboob Adiba Adeel Asim and Maqsood Ahmed Salafi.
The forum discussed in detail the progress on rules of business of Hindu Marriage Act and decided that meetings will be held with relevant authorities for the formulation of rules of business for the above mentioned bill in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
It should be noted that the provincial assembly has enacted the Hindu Marriage Act but rules of business for the act are yet to be formulated.
The meeting decided that lobbying meetings will be held with the local government and other important members of the relevant authorities to finalize the process of rules of business for the law.
The representatives also stressed upon the universities of the province to ensure a two per cent quota for the students hailing from minority communities of the province.
