PESHAWAR: A meeting was held under the guidance of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Caretaker Education Minister for Education, Dr. Muhammad Qasim Jan regarding non-formal education policy in the province here on Monday. During the meeting, essential decisions were taken to enhance access to non-formal education and streamline certification procedures. Distinguished attendees included Education Secretary Syed Mohtasim Billah Shah, Special Secretary Sharif Hussain, Education Advisor Khalid Mehmood, Communication Specialist Sheikh Fakhar Alam, Director ALP Rafiq Khattak, Director Gohar Ali, and representatives from JICA and UNICEF. The meeting also provided an insightful briefing to the provincial minister on the ongoing efforts to reintegrate out-of-school children into the education system. Dr. Muhammad Qasim Jan expressed gratitude to the Development Partners of the Education Department for their collaborative efforts in elevating the education system within the province. APP
The education secretary outlined a future course of action aimed at aligning Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s non-formal education system with that of the federation and other provinces.
This effort will involve a high-level delegation tasked with conducting a comparative analysis and formulating recommendations, which will ultimately undergo approval by the provincial cabinet.
