Men’s Sixes Lacrosse Championship Kicks Off in Peshawar

The City University Men’s Sixes Lacrosse Championship and training camp officially began today at City University Peshawar, organized by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Lacrosse Association in collaboration with the Pakistan Lacrosse Federation and the government of Japan.
The event features 12 participating teams and will run from 22rd to 25th October 2024.
The opening ceremony was inaugurated by Engr. Dr. Nasrullah Khan, Vice Chancellor of City University, along with Assistant Director Sports City University, Mr. Sajid Iqbal, and Secretary of the Pakistan Lacrosse Federation, Taifoor Zarin.
This championship is a major initiative aimed at promoting the sport of lacrosse in the region, offering an opportunity for young athletes to showcase their skills.
The closing ceremony, scheduled for 25th October 2024, will have Syed Fakhar Jehan, Minister of Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as the chief guest.
He will distribute trophies and souvenirs to the winners and participants, marking the successful conclusion of this landmark event.
