Merged districts top most priority of KP government: Kamran

Special Assistant to Chief Minister KP for Information and Higher Education Kamran Khan Bangash on Wednesday said that comprehensive plan has been chalked out to enhance educational facilities in merged districts including Bajaur on the special directives of Chief Minister Mehmood Khan.
“The plan includes increase of schools and colleges both for boys and girls at every level whereas concrete steps are being taken to improve the quality of education there as well” he added and vowed that all the cabinet members have been specially tasked for the speedy development of merged districts in all sectors of life.
He was talking to Anwar Zeb Khan, Minister for Ushr and Zakat who called on Kamran Bangash at his office in Civil Secretariat Peshawar and apprised him of the public issues related to educational facilities in his constituency in Bajaur.
Kamran Bangash assured him for redressal of all the grievances and reiterated the commitment of the provincial government to improve the educational infrastructure in the merged districts on emergent basis as well as to bring the people of erstwhile FATA into the national mainstream of development.
He admitted that in the recent past, the zealous people of the merged districts faced huge difficulties including terrorism and rendered matchless sacrifices for the country and the nation. However, he said, there is a new era begun for the reconstruction and development of all these neglected parts according to the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan wherein all the frustrations of the people will be addressed accordingly, he maintained.
Kamran Bangash assured the implementation of a well conceived plan for higher education facilities in Bajaur and claimed that an educated Bajaur is our commitment.
Kamran Bangash said that the Chief Minister has approved three new colleges for Bajaur district in the current ADP.
“The foundation stone of one Boy’s and one Girl’s College in Salarzai and Atmankhel Tehsils respectively would be laid this year and its completion will be ensured as soon as possible so that classes may be started in it next year positively”, he added. He said that in the next phase, the establishment of more colleges and universities will also be reviewed. For this purpose, a comprehensive survey was being launched in the merged districts soon. He also assured the solution of other public issues presented by Anwar Zeb Khan.
