Former tribal agencies’ have been merged into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa without approval of the majority of tribesmen. A public gathering has been planned to be organized at Babe-e-Khyber on 08 May, 2024 that will attend thousands of tribals.
The views were expressed by the chairman of FATA Qaumi Jirga Bismallah Khan while addressing to a press conference in Landi Kotal press club on Sunday.
Flanked by Malik Bahadar Shah, Malik Muhammad Shah, Malik Abdurrazaq Afridi, Malik Hifzurrehman and others said that decision of merging was carried without consent of the tribesmen and choice of handful unrepresented people were imposed on majority of tribal who were not in favor of merging.
Instead of yielding benefits, the replaced system deprived them of the amenities they enjoyed in the previous system and the will of unrepresented people were imposed on the majority of tribal who were not in favor of merging, he added.
“Tribesmen are stick to their norms and values of the tribal society and any forcible scheme, suffer their customs is unacceptable,” he added and said that they would strive hard to reinstate it.
He also urged the Supreme Court to provide them justice and assist them to get rid of the alien system.
They invited all the tribesmen from Waziristan to Bajaur to join their anti-merging public gathering to be held on 08 May 2024 at Bab-e-Khyber.
