The Minister for Tourism and Youth Affairs Atif Khan Tuesday directed all district governments and local government bodies to make arrangements for facilitate of tourists for the tourism season starting from soon after Eid ul Fitr.
Presiding over a meeting here, the minister directed officials concerned to ensure smooth flow of traffic, launch cleanliness drive and make availability of all basic facilities for the tourists.
The meeting attended by Secretary Tourism Kamran Rehman, Managing Director TCKP Junaid Khan and other officials, he said that last year around 4.5 million tourists visited Galiyat, Naran, Kalam and Kumrat while more tourists are expected to visited this year.
He directed the departments’ concerned to take help of local government representatives for chalking out traffic plan and facilitation of tourists. He also directed setting up of facilitation centres for guidance of tourists as well as local.
