Meeting of leaders of Muslims, Christians, Hindus, Sikhs and other religions in the same garden held
PESHAWAR
Under the auspices of the Department of Religious and Minority Affairs of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a simple and dignified ceremony was organized for interfaith harmony in the green of St. Luke’s Church in Abbottabad.
Provincial Caretaker Minister Awqaf Religious and Minority Affairs Justice retired Arshad Hussain Shah was the chief guest.
Deputy Commissioner Abbottabad Khalid Iqbal, District Khatib Mufti Abdul Wajid, Pandit Darshan Lal, Sikh religious leader Uttam Chand, Feroze Bhumisi from Bai community, Father Nasir Waliam from Christian community, Pastor Rafiq Javed Gul, administrator Zakir Pal and other senior police officers. Abbottabad Press Club President Raja Haroon, Abbottabad Electronic Media President Sohail Abbasi and other social and religious leaders were also present.
Waqar Gul from Masalik Catholic, Manoor Habib from PCP Church and Pastor Fayaz Michael also participated.
Special guest Provincial Supervisor Arshad Hussain Shah said that inter-faith harmony is very important for the development and prosperity of Pakistan.
Arshad Hussain Shah has further said that the protection of property and life and property of the minority community is among the priorities of the provincial government. Muslims consider minorities as their part.

The provincial supervisor further said that they are taking serious steps for the welfare of minorities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The provincial minister issued necessary instructions to the department while assuring them to listen to the problems of the leaders of all religions and to solve them.
District Khatib Mufti Abdulwajad said that all religions are like a hand for the sake of peace, all the minorities living in Abbottabad are crowns of our heads. The presence of dignitaries of all religions in today’s ceremony is a proof of the peace of Abbottabad.
General Secretary of Hazara Churches Association Zakar Paul Advocate said that Abbottabad is a city of beautiful hearted people. The minority community has never felt.
They are from another religion. There has always been solidarity with Muslim brothers. Protested with the Muslim brothers against the sketches and insulting cursed people. The scholars here always taught religious harmony. We are working for the integrity and growth of the country. Dhan will continue to perform his services.
