Minor girl killed in aerial incident

LAHORE: A girl was killed in aerial firing near Minar-e-Pakistan on occasion of Independence Day. The series of aerial firing in the provincial capital could not be stopped despite strict steps taken by police on occasion of Independence Day 14th of August and an innocent girl lost her life in aerial firing. According to police, stray bullet hit a 6 years old girl at Azadi Chowk near Minar-e-Pakistan which proved fatal. The girl has been identified as Hamda Zeeshan. The injured girl was taken to Mayo hospital for medical assistance where she succumbed to her injuries and died. According to father of girl Zeeshan, he is resident of UC-59, Sant Nagar area of Lahore. He was returning home after watching fireworks with his daughter Hamda when a bullet from unknown direction hit innocent Hamda in the chest. 6-year-old Hamda has been buried in the local graveyard of Sant Nagar. Police have registered case of murder in the Badami Bagh police station. CCPO and DIG Operations took notice of the incident and ordered SP City to arrest the accused soon and submit a report. Online
