A moderate earthquake jolted the areas of Malakand and Parachinar in Khyber Pakhtunkwa, however, no casualty has been reported till now.
An earthquake of a magnitude of 5.2 on Richter scale and depth of 84 kilometer with its epicenter located at the Hindu Kush mountain jolted Parachinar, Malakand, Swat and adjoining areas on Friday.
Panic overtook the people. The natives came out of their houses and rushed to open places reciting Kalma-e-Tayaba. According to Pakistan Meteorological Department, the earthquake measured 5.2-magnitude on the Richter scale and its epicenter was located in the Hindu Kush Mountains.
No casualty or loss of life has been reported till the filing of this report.
