Mohmand district won the trophy by defeating Khyber district by six runs in the cricket final organized in connection with the merge district inter-academies games.
On this occasion, Additional Secretary Sports Pir Abdullah Shah was the chief guest along with Director Sports, merg districts. Raziullah Khan, DD Sports Zakirullah, DSO Faisal Javed, Raheed Gul Malaguri and other personalities were present.
The final cricket match of the merge District Inter Academies Games held at Hayatabad Sports Complex Peshawar was played between District Mohmand and District Khyber in which Mohmand won by six runs after a sensational contest. Mohmand won the toss first. While playing 110 runs in the allotted overs, Khyber team scored 104 runs in reply, thus Mohmand won by six runs. Earlier, in the first semi-final, Khyber District defeated Peshawar Sub-Division and qualified for the final.
The Khyber team won the toss and batted first and scored 132 runs in the allotted twenty overs in which Saqib 25, Haseeb 27 and Rahim 18 were the prominent scores.
