Two real brothers were shot and dead and two other sustained bullet injuries in firing over monetary dispute here in Wali Khel village of Tehsil Landi Kotal district Khyber on Sunday night.
Station House Officer,Landi Kotal police station Ibrahim Shinwari said that a dispute had erupted over 0.4 million rupees between uncle and cousins.
Both the parties recalled their well-equipped maternal relatives for their assistance in the conflict.
Last day both the opponents confronted each other and after exchanging hot words, they opened indiscriminate firing on each other, SHO added.
As a result six persons got injured who were shifted to Headquarter Hospital, Landi Kotal for medical aid, hospital sources said.
Three serious wounded were referred to Peshawar hospital however two brothers succumbed to their injuries in the health center, hospital sources informed. The deceased were identified as Muhammad Ilyas and Abbas Afridi.
Local police officials moved to the site and adopted security measures to avoid further human loss.
Separatly, the death toll raised to four when one more wounded police cop of suicide attack at tehsil compound, Bara martyred in Hayatabad Medical Complex on Monday.
Police and relative of the late police official said that Abdul Hadi who critically injured in suicide attack passed away in the Peshawar health center.
It is to be mentioned here that on July 20, 2023, two suiciders hit tehsil compound building martyred three police cops and injured eleven others including civilians.
