National Highways and Motor way police can be compared with any other Police force on the basis of its performance. Motorway Police is considered as the role model institution of Pakistan.
Motorway Police is the crown of all Police forces. Motorway Police has won hearts of the people by offering a culture of helping people during difficulties faced by them in travelling. Hardly any other police force can be matched with Motorway Police. It is a matter of pride for me to be the head of an organization like the Motorway Police.
These views were expressed by Inspector General National Highways and Motorway Police Khalid Mahmood while addressing the officers in an Ijlas-e-Aam at training college, Sheikhupura. Regional Commander DIG Shahid Javed, Commandant Training College Syed Hashmat Kamal, Zonal Commander Motor Way Cental 1 Ahmad Nasir Aziz, Zonal Commander N5 Cental Muhammad Nadeem and Deputy Commandant Atif Shezad were also present on the occasion.
IG Khalid Mahmood said one can not blame Motor way Police due to its honesty and polite behaviour with public. These qualities are our honour and distinction.He further said that the use of modern technology is the need of the hour, and the Motorway Police is taking all possible steps to achieve this.
ITS has been made operational in Lahore to Sialkot Motor Way. This is the most advanced system which is completed with the cooperation of FWO and it will be implemented on all Motor ways next year. The Motor way officers helped and served the flood affected people admirably due to unmatchable efforts. To prevent the accidents, a new campaign called No More was started, which yielded substantial results.
He said that welfare of the officers is his priority, he is trying hard to increase the salary and solve the medical issues and focusing on projects related to welfare of the officers. Motorway Police is committed to spread road safty education and awareness regarding traffic rules to protect the precious lives of people in whole of the Pakistan.He said equal enforcement of the law will be ensured on the roads without any discrimination. Motor way Police is Committed to serve the public. He distributed special gifts to the martyre’s families and also orders on the requests of the officers at the spot.
